I do both,
no problem splitting... just during the conversion process I loose sync on a few of them.

hope it helps, it works great for converting on mac, never used it for splitting but think it has the capabilitie, good luck let me know how it works, will you know tonight? i am curious now.

I had no choice.. had to learn all of this stuff to be able to fix the computer myself.. now everyone calls me to fix their comps. who can afford comp shops!!!!!
all good in the long run.. my comp has paid for itself many times over.

nope.. got it installed but it wouldn't work it will only convert mpeg to other formats
Is ok though, I found one that is working great....format factory.
can convert any format to any format....
converted 2 movies from avi and mpeg into vob files then all I have to do is drag and drop them onto a dvd.. perfect!!!
just in case anyone else works with a lot of vid files.. here is the link to the above program
windows only.

as anyone knows that does this.. many of the vid files are in the wrong format.
the program I use to change/edit these with most of the time will mess up the vid..voice sync. (lips move 30 seconds after the words are spoken)
do you know of any freeware program to use to edit/ reformat that wont cause this problem??
