I have just a few, guess I have been lucky that way!

The two I remember most is 1) A man kept e-mailing me w/o a picture.
I told him that without a picture and the fact that he was a smoker and that we had nothing in common made me feel that there was no reason for him to drive so far away from home to meet me. I felt that we would have nothing in common.

He wrote for over six months. I should have blocked him, but felt he was not a threat. He finally talked me into meeting him at a McDonalds...Should have been the first sign! I met him and he was dirty and had yellowed fingers from smoking and very yellow wrotten teeth. Ok, you can overlook these things, and I am being overly nice here. I ordered and paid for my own coffee, which was fine, because I wanted nothing to do w/him. One thing I could not over look was the smell! He was emitting the most awful smell! I sat over at the next table and could still smell him doh

The kicker was he was not there to meet me, but he had published a book and since I write he thought I could get it publishedhelp ! I laughed!rolling on the floor laughing
I looked at it and it was as if someone wrote down random thoughts and called it a book. I gave him my honest opinion, that it was not something I would consider reading and that he would have to find his own connections as I have had to do.

HE got really angry wondering why I could not help him. very mad I told him I was not obligated to help him or anyone and that I live in my world and I suggest he live in his and not try to cross over into mine anymore as I had told him multiple times in the past that I was not interested!

I left and blocked him. Several months later he came back to the site, not this one, with a new name and no picture. He sent me an e-mail saying that my world must be small and lonely, again I laughed...and blocked him!

I suppose he wanted to be upfront w/you, but, geez, you are a beautiful woman and WHAT woman would want to hear about that at dinner? Wouldn't U want to wait to tell someone your secrets once you got to know them better? And definetely not at Dinner! He might as well just have taken a big s--t on your dinner, OMG, too many details, dude, wherever you are! Thank you for sharing!

My next couple of dating experiences were much the same.
The exception being that one wined and dined me and the other didn't even buy me a cup of coffee! I think because I live in a rich zip code they pick me out and think I am rich. I am by no means rich!

The first was an immigrant wanna be. I am always interested in different cultures and color is of no consequence to me, but after this experience I changed my mind, not about color, but about dating an immigrant.

We met in a sandwich shop in a well to do mall called Easton. It is an outdoor mall with exceptional dining areas and expensive yet versatile shopping. To make a long story short I bought my own lunch and he pitched me an offer for three different things in South Africa, because his brother supposedly new the new president or whatever they are called. Then he got a phone call, and rudely talked for about 15 minutes while I was eating. He pitched diamomds from S. Africa, which I called BLOOD diamonds. When he couldn't get that one over on me he pitched something else, which I blew off. Next he take of a water filter that could take millions of gallons of dirty water and clean it so they had water to bathe with and drink. I had heard of this problem and was interested, but in the back of my mind I was thinking if this was such a good idea and his brother is already talking to the president about it then, why hasn't the president acted upon it himself instead of using a middle man?confused

Not that it hadn't dawned on me that this man was a scammer and wasting my time. I looked him straight in the eye and said," so what is it that you are asking from me?", in my sweetest non-assuming way. dunno

He said," Well, how much can you give me to get this business started, this is a ground floor opportunity!" I looked at him and said,"how much do you need?", as if I had money to blow!wow I said "give me a number" And he gave me a couple outrageous numbers and I laughed and he finally said the base amount was five thousand dollars to buy the basic things to get started. I said "Do you think I was born yesterday?", and started to laugh!laugh He got mad and started to get pushy when I got real and said, "I have driven all this way to listen to a spiel when I am looking for a relationship! Do you know who you are talking to? I come from a long list of attys. (which I don't) and my brother-in-law is an FBI agent! If I ever see you again on a dating site I will have you thrown in jail!" And
I politely said thank you and added, Oh yea, I have a concealed carry permit and a gun and I know how to use it, and I do!" rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

worst date was I was out with a young lady, we were hitting it off ok. Nothing super sparky, but good conversation, we had a lot in common.

Next thing I know this guy is in my face asking me what I was doing with his girl. I was like, wtf dude, I don't know anything about "your girl". I am out with this young lady - who turned out to be his very ex-girlfriend.

she tried to back him down, he was determined he was going to show me that she was his property. Manager called the police while this dude attempted to hurt me.

He didn't, got hurt instead and pretty badly I might add.

Cops took me down as if I was the culprit and only after I sat their in handcuffs with mace in my face did the cops finally shut up long enough to listen and find out that I was not the one causing the problems.

So, needless to say, I was not in the mood for a good night kiss.

Worst one I have had didn't even make it to the "date" stage. We had dated a few times but nothing serious.

He called and ask me to go out. I said, OK....where are we going? He replied out to eat so I ask where. He ask why it mattered and I told him it mattered because I don't dress the same for all restaurants and needed to know where we were going so I could be dressed appropriately. He got mad and ask me why it mattered. Again I told him my reasoning.

He then proceeded to scream and yell at me and told me I would eat wherever he chose to take me. Then after a couple minutes he sarcastically said ok where do you want to go eat? I told him it didn't matter but I was not eating anywhere with a drive-thru. That really got him furious and he started to yell again and tell me I woud eat where he took me. I told him he was acting childish and since I do not have any children I didn't have time for such behavior.

Well, needless to say that date was over before it ever got started and I never heard from him again.

However, a couple of years later I took my 5 year old great neice out to eat at her favorite restaurant,
McDonalds, and he was in there with a woman eating and as I snickered to myself I had to wonder if he was on a date. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH!!!!!drink pouring

mbcasey: I am so sorry Dru...I can't imagine the pain and fright that caused you...

hug I didn't share it for that, Ken. That particular one made it so that it was many years before I could allow a man I didn't know to drive us on a date...but other than that, I healed quickly.

I learned a long time ago that when a horse throws you, you need to dust yourself off and get back on one as soon as possible...so, I did. laugh

OMG...that would be bad, K! As you said, nothing wrong with one being gay, but don't try to pretend that you're not! hug

And thank you. It was all a long time ago. hug

I don't share to get pity, I don't need that...I share so that I can help others know that they're not alone, and so that they can share too, if they want to...here or offline. Many have never had anyone else to really talk to about it.
