Plastic surgery has been in the spotlight a lot lately. There have been a lot of horror stories of plastic surgeries gone wrong, as well as the success stories. There are those who swear that having certain procedures done has changed their lives. Under what circumstances would you go under the knife to have it done? And what procedures would you consider doing?
Plastic surgery for the sake of optional physical enhancement I believe is a mistake. There are complications galore to worry about and as the body ages, a lot of times the adjusted areas age disproportionately.
That being said, plastic surgery for the purpose of reconstruction, especially after fires, accidents, and the like is a HUGE deal for the person who is trying to put their lives back together.

Reconstruction would be the only reason I'd consider it. I refuse to have anything tucked or lifted...and heaven-forbid, liposuctioned. I don't even dye my hair. Let Nature take her course...it's safer.

other than physical medical issues, I agree with daz
With all things........ in moderation it probably isn't too bad....... In saying that, I'd prob get a couple of things enhanced, another couple sucked out. Each to their own I don't judge.
Life is short, might as well be happy with yourself.
Never for me. I like who I am when I look in the mirror and whatever others may think when I step out my door is gone with the wind once I come home again.
I think it's creating a freak generation whereas people start to look alike in some respects........and it's causing others who are mentally immature or unstable to feel like they are less or not able to properly compete with the ones who have had procedures done. In some minor respects it may be that it's acceptable to do it as long as the integrity of your persona isn't violated
For some people it greatly helps with their self esteem (like maybe they're finally getting something fixed that they've hated all their lives & it kept them from enjoying life).
There's also the women who go in for breast reduction because of the back problems they've had.
While I was married I gave in to the pressure of my spouse to have liposuction. Not so sure I'd want to go through that again. It also didn't enhance how he felt about me.
If I were to go for myself....well....maybe a lift here & there....and maybe get rid of the european farmer girl arms (thanks grandma).
But actually, I'm doing what I can with diet & exercise and hoping to continue looking 10 years younger than my age without artificial enhancement.

Well, I had 5lbs. removed from up top. Best thing I ever did. I couldn't breathe and my back hurt all the time. Not to mention my tops were a size 22-24 when I really wore a size 8-10. I don't think I'd do anything else but I sure am glad that I was able to get it done.

Being a "big" girl w/ extra skin and all . . . I'd go under that knife for someone who needed a skin graft or something like that.
As it is, I am having a hard time going in to donate plasma, because I am affraid of needles. But I have decided I will donate before the end of the year - at least twice.
I'd like liposuction and a tummy tuck........ cause I always had a small "pooch" of a stomach that I hate and could never get rid of, and I had a kid so a tummy stuck to smooth stretch marks.
