Honestly... Telling your parents means he feels you are someone he can stand up for, it is an important step in an relation of any kind, friends as couples.

He cares enough about you. He may be bringing you home to meet her.

When he was (about) 13 yrs old, his mother told him to not bring home any girl he was not intending to marry, or to waste Mamas time talking about her. So, telling her (mama) about you, means he is seriously contemplating more than a one-night stand.

Unless, of course, Mama has provided him with his own seperate little room with its own outside entrance, and is wondering if he ever actually uses it to deflower local maidens .... and then he was forced to tell her about you ..........................?cheers

Actually, there could be many reasons he has told Mama about you ...... maybe he doesnt have to borrow the family car anymore and she wants to know if you have your driving licence?.... Or whether or not you ride a motor-bike? .... Or are covered in tatoos? ....... If you live on the wrong side of the tracks and only after him for his family inheritance? ........ Or he is having rather too many doctor visits unaccompanied by Mama? .......... Or he`s changed his Levis & Wrangler jacket for an all-in-one leather suit with metal studs, shaved his hair into a Mohawawk and dyed the remainder jet-black......?------- Many many reasons ........... All depends on how old he is?.. and how old you are? ......And many other factors too ......

It sounds to me that you don't have enough faith in this guy. Not many mothers have a choice in whom their son chooses to be with. If he is close to his mother then he can talk about you(in a nice way) and tell her he is bringing you home for a visit.

It means that you are significant one to him. When I was young I had a lot of girls. I've been changing them each week, month, sometimes daily and I newer tough that I had to declare each of them to my family. There was no reason for something like this.
By annunciation that I have a girl I wanted to tell them that I am in a relation that is more than .......... , that I am happy, that she means something to me and that they...or mother how you call parents must respect her and my relation with her.
And yes. Thanks to my father, I had a room with separate entrance and this room was my spiders nest. Folks, there was parade. Until one day I was caught. rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
