A psychologist told me the other day that she works in a centre where they deal with patients whose neural highways are so damaged by cannabis that they can't function normally anymore....so looks like maryjane is a little more dangerous than we thought she was...

Of course they're bad. When we were teenagers Mary J and Coke were "non-addictive" ... Pppp! I know plenty of people who were "psychologically" addicted. In time, other effects were shown, depression of testosterone in men, neural deseases etc.
What amazes me is that many of the same people who cry out against the drug companies for their aggressive marketing of commercial drugs happily ingest things that were never meant to be processed by the human body.

i have seen this first hand. i dont smoke but i have friends who do. one in particular who spends about $600 a month on the stuff that will peel your head back and he is about useless. he works on cars and just about every time he works on a repeat customer he finds a wrench or screw driver that he forgot the last time under the hood somewhere.

Yep. And alcohol has been with European and North African societies for a very long time. However it wrecks havoc on those that have not had an alcohol culture for thousands of years. It also wrecks havoc with some that do.

Dutch ban on "magic" mushrooms to take effect
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - The Netherlands will ban the sale and cultivation of all hallucinogenic "magic" mushrooms from next week, the latest target of a country seeking to shed its "anything goes" image.
amsterdam is a beautiful city with culture and architecture that will flat out blow you away, but it just lost some of its charm.
no longer can i call amsterdam the most wonderful place on earth.
oh well. i hear ibiza is cool. anyone been there?
