Too much love of self, leaving nothing for the other. So many love another only for themselves. People often look for a mate like they look for a car. Once it gets old or the new wears off, then it is time to get a new exciting one to replace it. Too much me....me....me. Their hearts are not really able to love another for the other. Sad but true!

I think if you tidy up your appearance a bit Maybesoon it might not be so difficult for you to find someone.

Good luck.

It's become a Me Me Me generation. People throw relationships away just like they're yesterdays news. No one seems to give a care anymore for anyone elses feelings cause they're just plain selfish. It's like everyone's replaceable.

Like someone else said it's like having a automobile. When it's no longer useful they're just discarded and a new one takes it's place.

To be honest
It is too easy today to turn around and leave

Can any one of you find just one imperfection in yourself? Because, we seams like perfect persons, persons without imperfections, persons with healthy attitude, clever, etc……

I just wondering, what’s wrong than?

It is impossible that we are in right all the time……..

Actually, I am not in a relationship and have not been in one
for 7 years. NOT due to selfishness as some believe to be a reason.
But for selflessness.

It is my desire to be equally yoked with someone who has the same Spiritual connection.

This is hard to find in a worldly world, if you know what I mean.

I don't see life this way. Once I am in love I don't need to be independant, but before love and while I am seeking to find someone I love my independent. I don't need a new relationship to be overly controlling and trying to change me. I am who I am Popeye used to say!!!!!

Met a young girl on Sunday.

She had the most expensive wedding - R100,000 - just under $10,000 (American) That wasn't even three weeks ago. They went on honeymoon to an island, came back and separated.

I asked her how long they had known each other - three years - obviously three years of hell for both of them. Around here the wedding has to be the fairy tale event. I think that is what it's all about for young people these days - no vision for anything after the big day.

i think relationships have become another mechanism at an attempt of momentary happiness. something that's been taken highly for granted and can be cast away as easily as an old glove. which i suppose is where the selfish aspect comes in, people only think of what will make them happy, and ignore all the reasons to why a relationship should be. sure you need to think of yourself but there also has to be a mutual sense of selflessness that's reciprocated and balances out in the relationship.

of course i'm making a big generalization about this generation, and not everyone is like this.

spiritual connection as opposed to material connection or as transcendentaly oriented?sigh

There are times that we can have a laugh together and ask: "now that we have everything, who are we?"laugh this question can be difficult. I still think that mothers must educate their children with values not with luxuory. Giving them everything is not education/orientation. How may of you still punish your children?
