To me, a life partner is someone who is not just your lover, but your best friend. Someone who you can trust, and share your deepest feelings and secrets with, and with whom you have mutual love and respect. You encourage each other to follow your dreams, and you support each other through life's trials. It's the person whose arms are your haven, and whose lips are your heaven.

I've got a special belief to"a pure partner", this" God given delicate and precious thing" I call. It's a wonderful advantage for a man in every pursuit to secure an advisor in a sensible woman. In her there is a subtle delicacy of tact, and a plain soundness of judgment, she if really friend will have a sensitive regard for your character, honor, and repute. She will seldom counsel you to do a shabby thing and always desires to be proud of you.

Very true, but remember if she dose that it's being done from her heart and should not be taken advantage of because of that. Show her that you in return is sensitive and respectful to who she is and where she is coming from.
Being shabby dose not enter a girl/woman mind unless she is disrespected. I have a lot more on this subject but I shall leave you with that for now.

He loved me for who I am, as I loved him for who he was. We had trust, communication, respect...and enjoyed each other's company, and shared many interests and viewpoints (though not all). We were best friends first, lovers second. I loved him completely and totally just the way he was.
And funny that DK should say that about having your back...that's what he'd always say, "She has my back." He called me his Valkyrie...we just didn't know how true that would be. I was the one who could give him the strength to die at the end.
