lusciousmile: When i date, i don't see colour, i see a good man, however, i chose not to date asians because of the vast differences in culture. My longest relationship was with an indian (born in Kenyan) and those never go anywhere, where i come from. It's 'taboo' to most, so i gave up.
Well, if i met one who could blend with mine (culture), i probably woud go for it. American men i've met, are open minded, and more in touch with multicultural concepts. European men are ok, and i don't mind dating them. African men are perfect, if they are travelled or well educated.
I know people have preferences which i respect, but most times, when i meet a white man who says he only dates black women, i RUNNNNNN! Why? Because they turn out to be freaks (really strange) or pervs. I haven't met all of them, and only talking from my experience, so no offense to those who prefer us black women only. The other kind i've met, who say they only date black women, have turned out to be overly dominating and think they are some sort of saviour, to us 'destitute' little black girls. I have only dated white women, most of my friends are black or mixed, because of where I grew up, But I honestly don't know if I could date a black woman, I'm not to sure about asians either. My main objective though is they have to be a Christian or there would be way to many obstacles to overcome, as far as beliefs and raising kids would be concerned, for it to ever work out...JMO

I saw a gorgeous hunk of an American guy of "Colour" a couple of months ago - tall - clean shaved head - musles all over the place - but it was his absolutely delicious aura that got me - had i been twenty years younger!

I met a nice Jamaican, who was working here for a month. We kept it on a friendship level, and he still called me after he went back to Jamaica. Long distance relationships don't seem to work for me, but i loved so much about him. I also found that we weren't that different, because i'm african.
Now, the accent, i LOVE IT! I love the culture and music and i don't know any african who doesn't!
One of my friends's dad, is from Barbados. He's in one of my profile pics. Another one of my good friends is also from Barbados, and i sometimes forget we are from different countries.
