there is a lot of wreckage in the fast lane these days. not even the rich feel safe from it, and people are looking for reasons. the smart say they can't understand it, and the dumb snort cocaine in glitzy discos and stomp to a feverish beat. which is heard all over the country, or at least felt. the stomping of the rich is not a noise to be ignored in troubled times. it usually means they are feeling anxious and confused about something, and when the rich feel anxious and confused, they act like wild animals. the rich have certain rules, and these are two of the main ones: maintain the privacy and the pipeline at all costs. the language is different, the music is faster, the food is not meat and potatoes but in the end it all boils down to rich is strong, poor is weak, and the government works for whoever pays its salaries.

Tell me about it. In my department, my manager was informed that we either start adding to the profitability of the store or we could be cut out of it. in other words . . . . could be losing my job, but for now everything is fine - just need to bring people into the store and get ride of those products that do nothing for us. Hope it works. I really want to be able to pay off my student loans.

Right now I think those of us that are still able to pay some of our bills and keep our noses out of the water are helping to barely keep the economy up and running. But just barely. humph. sigh

Take care everyone.
