If a man disrespects me, that is his choice, I lose no sleep over it.

Because we fart, blelch..and pick our noses, make snot balls and flick them at the neighbours cat...

We also scratch.....

It works both ways I guess; if either men or women go out of their way to be as crude and blasphemous as possible they are unlikely to gain an enormous amount of respect from anybody except those in a race to reach the lowest possible common denominator.

There is a certain degree of schoolboy and schoolgirl humour which is both enjoyed and acceptable by most people; occasionally it goes over the top, and occasionally it's over the top most of the time; especially in a little clique of people.

Some people nolonger post in the public forums because they actually find the language a little too juvenile and puerile for their taste; if my own language has put them off, I apologise.

It IS possible to be pleasant and decent without using foul language in every other post or swearing or blaspheming; it's also a lot harder not to be boring and a little controversy livens up threads that otherwise deteriorate into 'Where is my coffee?' and discussions about the weather. Sometimes it is hard to find a balance.

Maybe next time when 'you' post and use bad language or write something particularly crude 'you' could pause a second before you hit the 'send' button and ask yourself who you are trying to impress and what impression you'd like to portray of yourself to others!

But if 'I' do that to often, not much would end up being posted at all

I thought the same way, and now I'm not so sure.......... take somebody you like and respect in the forums and see if they write really crude stuff and swear a lot; if they do then carry on, if they don't maybe think about it!
