Got up this morning and had to get rid of all the blood stains from my sheets and clothing....9 days after having the staples removed from my knee surgery, it's still bleeding.
Drove to the neighbouring larger town to get my fix of Chinnoto. If you're Italian you know the drink, if you're not, try it and you'll never drink Coke or Pepsi again.
Against my moral values, I actually went to Wal-Mart, but only to buy socks.... I apologize to the third world folks who make these socks for a subsistence living. I promise, I won't do it again.
Hooked up with a friend and went to a very strange bar and I actually drank, only coffee, while watching him down a few pints of beer. (Very hard for me to do)
On my way home listening to the news; three more Canadian soldiers died today in Afghanistan, that makes 6 this week, and for what ? The USSR, not that long ago had 150,000 troops in Afghanistan and lost the war. The entire country (Afghanistan) must be onside if there is any hope for change, and that will never happen in our life time.
If you've read this far, enjoy your weekend and the fast approaching Xmas.

a real humdrum everyday life story much the same as any else...expect for the blood stained sheets...hope that clears up soon.....maybe you should go get it checked out????
have to admire you for resisting the temptation for the booze not easy when we are so readily looking for something to take us away from reality and forget for a moment....just lift the spirits and have a laugh a bit of banter etc,. but then there is the price to pay... the low that follows is hardly ever worth it.....
don't get me going on the futility of war the scourge of our planet...
You look after your well being and take things nice and slow....
forget the past is good advice it only......we do our best..

I never expected 7 paragraphs in response. Love you.
If it's still bleeding than you need to get it checked out. But myself I would do a hot soak in a tub with salt water or epsom salts. Any way Happy Hollidays to you Leo
Please get your knee looked at, maybe they can put that 'invisible skin' on it for a while to help heal, and protect it against rubbing against clothing/bedding.
I'm with you on the chinotto, however, most of the brands these days no longer have the quinine in it, which is what gave it the name originally.
Still not bad tasting though, especially the San Pellegrino, or Bisleri.
The war in Afghanistan? Senseless, isn't it. Let people fight their own wars if they want to. And yes, Russia didn't get anywhere, so why repeat the insanity? BTW, wasn't it during around that time, that Osama Bin Laden was being trained by the Americans, that is, working WITH the U.S. in some capacity? Or have I got it wrong? Prolly

Oh, and Coke or Pepsi?...
Wow, what a response. As if we were sitting in a livingroom and speaking the same language. I thank you for your world wisdom. May there be more like you.
