For me, some people definately exist when the box is turned off. Ive met the most amazing women and they are a huge part of my life now. They have done so much for me and their support had been unwavering

Interesting.
For me I have personal friends here, over in the EU so they are a part of my life, friends are. The fact that I meet them on the forum there is an added bonus for me.
One man is particularly real, I wake up next to him.

I was thinking about it earlier today funnily enough. I had a bit of a lights out experience some years back, and I was wondering if in reality that was the last moment I really experienced and everything since was just my imagination.
Then I thought about it for another minute or so and thought what the hell do I care as I seem happy enough where I am now.

I think about owen VERY often. Probably too often. As I see patients, I often say to myself, "She is pretty, but not as pretty as owen." or "I wonder what owen is doing right now?"
It has become quite a habitual thing.

For me they definitely continue to exist - a whole cast of characters that has both influenced, vexed, and amused me. It's like being part of a community - akin to living in a large neighborhood where people tend to stay in touch.
But then my computer's almost always on - at least hibernating - so one can never be sure...

I think it's like every interaction we have, we take from it what pertains to us as an individual
We can allow ourselves to be influenced a small bit or a lot, or even not at all.
I try to enter some discussion that I'm interested in and find myself learning from some people.
Its why I interact........to learn other peoples point of view so I can have a rationilisation.

Some CSers exist in my RL.. I have met quite a few from here and have visited them, they have visited me. I dated a CSer for 6 months. I have partied with 100s... Heck last Jan.. I shared a flat with 4 of them, strangers now friends.. (even the one who left his Calvins on the coffee table )

I know all my friends and one special Irishman exist in my daily life...I think about all of them often...wonder what they are up to and miss them on a regular basis when I haven't spoken to them in awhile...so no...they don't go away when my comp is turned off....they are with me all the time....
