lusciousmile: You should see these scammers, who work their charm in to these men's lives. They get married and have kids together.I know some, and no, i don't approve. They tell me it's all about the papers, but hey, i think the men know it too. They aren't exactly mentally challenged.Imagine this, a 60 yr old man, with a 20yr old girl.

Yep, these men don't care either.

Tamarin: You have got to give the guys from Pakistan, Africa etc this they are persistent...they don't seem to understand no.

They have a habit of getting the red flashing boxes stuck on.

After they IM you four times and you refuse it they still carry on.

The ones I get my kill at are the offers of marriage...I may look stupid but I am not insane!

Okay, I've been divorced for 12years. I've only had one boyfriend in these 12yrs. and boy was he a doozy! A professional scammer! If I could get in contact with ALL his women he's scammed I'm going to write a book about him! I now have a new motto with this title cliche: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, vindication is mine! devil And how sweet it was!smitten

Those scamers either think they are so smart, or they think other's are mentally challenged. But I agree with luscious, some of them actually get married for the papers, and live with the man, but I think they both know what they are getting themselves into. I heard this from an American man when I asked him why do men fall for that when they know the woman might be gone the very second she gets her papers. The reasons were explained to me:
1. The man is going to have a young and beautiful wife for at least three years who will take care of him and get on his good side wink (that is until she is free to go)
2. They will have three years together and maybe within those years they might fall for each other (a big "if" that is)
3. They both know what they are doing, but the end result is not that clear laugh

Hun, when they IM you, just minimize the box. They can't keep popping up on you and it goes away after about an hour. They'll usually leave you alone after that. devil

The key word being "almost", and good for you! You were smart to keep it at just almost. thumbs up
I've also had some RL scammers wanting to pick me dry. The earliest was back in my 20's. I had this woman approach me, she was about my age, wanting to be my personal stylist for a weekly fee. She wanted to pick out my clothes, shoes and restyle my hair, all at my expense. When she told me how much her fee would be, I told her that would be great, as long as she let me style her for the same amount and arrangement. All I got was a blank look on her face...and for a moment there, I thought she was actually considering it!

My family said if I have anymore boyfriends (which I've only had one since I've been divorced! Geez!) that they are doing a background check and checking references on him just so I won't be hurt again. But I have news, just because someone may have a clean "closet" doesn't mean that they can't treat you like trash and use you!doh
