"You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!" [Psalm 139:16]
The lord God is omniscient, and although He has given us free will, still, as the Tetragrammaton, He sees all, and has written in His memory all the roads we shall choose.
Galactic_bodhi: The lord God is omniscient, and although He has given us free will, still, as the Tetragrammaton, He sees all, and has written in His memory all the roads we shall choose.
Free will and being absolutely predictable...slight logical contradiction there.
He gave us free will and that began the beginning of the Ego. A split in our minds. Ego and Spirit. We hear the Ego voice much louder than Spirit, now, and therein lies our problems. We just need to correct what we let dictate our minds.
When the Ego developed we forgot what it is that we really are. We really are the Mind of God. (our spirits)
Jesus, (God's Holy Spirit) is the same as we are but an appointed Teacher to help us all awaken from the illusions of the dream(s) we've made.
So, we make a choice. Do "I" want to listen to Ego or Spirit?

That is one of my favorite parts of the Bible Psalms 139. That whole passage tells of the worth each of us have that we are unique and that a loving creator knew what he was doing right down to the hairs on our heads. That he is the one who knows the number of our days. It is a passage affirming self esteem and the dignity of each person. JMO
Solomon was saying that in the womb God saw him and had plans for him to do his will to make things come about as needed for the future of the Hebrew nation.
It is not speaking of destiny for each person or that all are predestined and we can not do anything about it.
God says he is a potter and he chooses vessels for honor and not. This is in order to show his power and glory.
Solomon was under the hand of God for a certain outcome. Much like hearding a cow. But every foot step was not preordained to happen without fail.
Solomon said it about himself....not every person! God chooses those he will according to his purpose.
The breath happened when Solomon was whacked on the butt. not inside the womb! God directed his life as he wanted. If he went the wrong way he was hearded back into His will.

The life and blessings that He has written in the Book of Life are where He wants us to be. The plan of fulfillment that He has wrought for each of us. He wrote it all down from A-Z. Free-will allows us to choose which path we actually walk. Asking for His guidance allows us to find the next step on our intended path. The path He chose is the one best suited to our individual self. The one we choose is often the one fraught with the most trials as we stray from the natural path intended. Of course the braod scope of this path allows for plenty of pit stops along the way. A.1, A.2, A.3... etc... He only wrote the synopsis not the individual moments. We choose what to take from each moment and this is what likely leads us to stray following glimmers, shadows, and tinkling sounds like a crow hunting baubles. A moment's respite and a heavensent prayer will guide us back to the path, just like a child's cry will always bring the worried parent running.
That although we are given choices, a free will of our own to choose, God knows our hearts and who will remain faithful, ernestly seeking Him. That He is all knowing, exceeding our ability to fathom His incredible, supernatural powers.
Any proud parent begins before their precious child is born with dreams of what could be possible for them. Plans for education, health, enjoyment, love and life. The Lord knows far beyond any human parent what is good and righteous for each of His children. He, like any good parent does not force any choices upon a child, but rather nurtures and encourages them to do the right thing. When your child goes astray it hurts but we press forward and renew our contact to ensure them that they are forgiven and then provide answers or more questions to help lead them back to where they are best off. If they stray for a long period of time and even turn away from you, there is little possibility that you could ever refuse to accept them back if they returned. And no matter the life they have lived you will Love them and try to ensure their safety even if it has to be done from the sidelines. God Loves all of His children and has planned out the end of their life with important chapters in between. He leaves us to write the body of the text in our own special way. And will walk with us the entire way whether or not we place our hand in His.
