hi GS...good question...i think you should just be yourself whether on the first date or not...unless you happen to be super rich or something..
I recently saw a very funny movie.
It was about the first date of a couple.
The guy - a fat and sleezy, untide man - was telling to his date, a beautiful young lady, all his bad points.
At the first date.
He even farted then, in front of her, in order to get her used with him.
She done the same with the weak points - told everything.
They married and have thousands of kids, like them.
I was wondering if I would like such a man.

The conclusion is - women must be impressed positively - at the first date.

Here on CS they know all that before they see you (provided you had been fair with details), so just relax and enjoy the date.
Showing off is never good, it makes the date very awkward.
first impressions are the ones that count this applies to all things in life so just be you honesty is best in the long run
I think people TRY to give the impression of being honest at first, and then the effort becomes too much of an effort and their Real Self emerges eventually.
Humans are not honest with themselves, we all like to imagine that we are decent and normal but that is just an aquired veneer, like plywood when its dry. Eventually the bad temper, the snapping and biting begins to show, the occassional dishonesty, the little lies, evasions of truth ......and fartings.

And I agree, honest people do not go around stating they are honest. They just are.
But yes, humans are not honest with themselves, we find it hard, we use places like this to say that we are.
I often read profiles, of men and women, who state alot, 'I am honest, do not play games,' etc.
