... besides the time and my personal issues with family, my profile was burglarized and I lost all of my mail. My contacts, my friends list, everything. It was like I came back to my profile one day to find that I had just joined in some ways.

I would like to start out this New Year with an invitation for all to whom I have shared friendship to please add me to your friend lists. It is comforting at times to come here and see that you are online and to know that I can reach out when I need to blather on or reach deep into your strength to bolster my own as well. It is also quite nice to know in some way that perhaps when the troubles come from the other side that someone trusts you enough to let you be there.

Happy New Year everyone, it'll be as promising as we encourage it to be, and I plan on making the best of this year for sure.

~ Markhug thanks group hug

With two friends an hour I will only have to keep this thread alive for another two minutes to regain my entire list of friends. So I will bump it one time for good luck.

Thank you Carol and Don for remembering me.hug

I already know who my friends are on this lovely site but it is comforting to be able to click a simple tab and see who is around. Sort of like entering a room and seeing a pile of smiling faces...hug

This is true, I feel like that about the EU, Mark, it does have that comforting air about it, when things are getting a little fractious in here, along they come and take me home.

What has this year cost me?

Oh, health problems beset me when I first moved back to Austria.

Other than that, it has done nothing than bring me good fortune, you and so many others here, out of what was a mess of opinions, I gained friends, two ladies here, them and I had disagreements, but out of that was borne a great friendship, one in it's embryo stage now, but blossoming and I do find people like that amazing. So sometimes, time on here, has cost me some tears, some frustrations, then mutual respect does shine through, that is how JB and I began our friendship, I think you can remember, and again it has happened with our gorgeous LACALI, a dear lady who is fast becoming a dear friend.

And of course there is you, always there, we have shared alot, so much. This year I gained you. Dana, those real friendships that blossom and you know they will go on and on.

And of course, that vagabond, he fell into my life. And for that I am lucky and blessed. The man is a true gentleman, and I adore him, he has a heart the size of the sky...

He set out to make me laugh and blush everyday. He does.

So I have alot to thank CS for. ¨

But even more so, the people here, I have them to thank even more.

Oh to fulfillment then! My most fervent wish for you dear friend is that our erstwhile leader will finally grant you a horse... An equal in every way regardless of the magical way you can portray the damsel in distress to lure the next fortuitous bounty that needs be pilfered from those overwrought with such an impertinent weight.hug

yes, my own horse???

This damsel needs one.

However, for now, I have to be content, on being on his...

I quite like being the damsel in distress. I have been my own mistress for a long time, I am happy to hand over the reins to him...

And if I am really good, I get a chocolate...

Well to best effectuate the return of my friends to my list I am going to bump this once again before the meds take me back to la la land. Oh the burning disgrace and leakage from my injured eye... Oh well with any luck they can pry the stubborn thing from my overly hard head this time or book me for surgery if all else fails.
Thank you in advance for those who have yet to readd or add me as the case may be.
And of course a special thank you for all those who have already done so.hug

First off I would like to thank Robert, Dru, and Ginger for being such wonderful sports and offering their hands in friendship.
Secondly to Merky I do not need to know someone very well to be their friend. Every good thing begins with a single step of course. And I too have ears that not only hear but can often listen as well, so you offer is accepted if you can do the same and accept my return offer.hug

You guys truly are great.

Now where the heck are the rest of you?

I just got back from the hospital and the doctor froze my eye completely inserted a needle into my iris and pulled the foreign body out. Then proceeded to use a miniature grinder to burn off the rust spot that had taken hold on my cornea. So my eyeball is fixed and now just needs to be protected until it completely heals. Damn I am excited to be able to read a frikken book again, three days without was the longest I have gone in 35 years at least. And of course I can now enjoy the IIHF World Junior Hockey game in an hour.

A metal sliver from work. But it is gone and even the rust spot is eliminated. Burns like hell while the freezing is coming out but who cares I can blink now without lacerating the hell out of my eyelid. hug
