Lost in words, smiles flash across the faces and miles.
Waiting, expecting, refreshing.
All to read the words of a woman I have never seen in person.
Regardless, can one really see the woman when blinded by her physical beauty?
The soul, the soul I see in those lines.

Lines are undesirable when bodies are close. We work to hide them.
Lines between us are precious.
Refreshing again, why does it take so long? Will the message ever come?

There it is, another smile, a laugh, a tear. I long for the stroke of your soft finger tips.
Such strange emotion, such strange thoughts flood my mind.
How can one feel so connected to another when they are thousands of miles apart?
Why do I seek to find the one who I know so well?

Why is their sadness when the power is turned off? Yet smile again when memories flood in.
Memories of precious lines, sent through the miles.

thanks dave. That is what I was going for. Although I am a horrible writer. I didn't even spell "there sadness" right.

You know that is why us docs have such horrible handwriting, right? So we can hide the fact that none of us can spell worth a darn.

My one doctor - and I've always had loads with my problems - said that docs have lousy handwriting from taking so many years of notes so quickly.

The poem is lovely, Doc. thumbs up wine

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing Is that the reason?! Thank you for sharing the secret. I always used to get frustrated trying to read that scribble...sometimes it was hard to make it make sense even with knowing medical terminology. rolling on the floor laughing

Now, honestly...beautiful poem, Doc. You really did capture it perfectly. wine

Yes...and so are your computers. Be thankful for that. wine It sucks to have an online relationship that didn't get to move offline before one person's computer crashed on them. Talk about a test of patience! (My patience, btw, which I've only recently acquired, so I'm not real good at that yet.)
