How to organize an event? Basically....
1) Pick a date. Make sure it won't clash with concerts, events etc
2) Pick a venue. Nothing too outlandish, your age brackets may be wide at it and you don't want to cut people out on this basis if possible.
3) Let as many people know that it is on as you possibly can, including site admin. If you have time, mail people in the area; don't just rely on a lazy post in the forum.
How much thought or time you put into these is up to you; if you don't put anything in, your likely to have a flog on your hands; if you do a little bit you will stand to succeed.
