DAD

Dad was a trucker
He was gone all the time
It hurt him to leave his
family behand.
Dad was a fisherman and hunter
He loved what he did
He shot deer,ducks,& geese
this kept us all fed
Dad was a bowler he loved
strikes and team wins
When he played softball he
hit home runs again & again
Dad did alot of things throughout
his life there was nothing left to do
He want to sleep and left his memories
for me , family & friends too:

I missed my dad when he was alive
I don't miss him now
he was AWOL all my life
I guess he had more important things to do
Towards the end he got a little forgetful
He didn't even recognise me the last time we met
That hurt like Hell
Throughout my childhood I thought I wasn't good enough for him
Thats why he never came around except at Christmas time.
I tried so hard giving him hugs and kisses when he showed up
Trying to make him come back
But it didn't work
Funny how you can love somebody who's never around
My mother had boyfriends lots of them, I saw more of them
I had no love for them, any of them, ever!
In fact I hated them

He threw me away so now it's my turn to throw him away!
