Jan1305: Most people say they would travel, relocate to be with their potential love.
I think this is a lie, with most. Ok, I live in Spain, most of you here on the IF are American, so however many lovely emails or flowers I receive it´s like....what is the point? We are never going to meet why bother?
I´m not going to relocate, I have done so already from the UK to Spain, here is where I am happy, and here is where I stay.
Does that mean that I´m wasting my time here?

No because although you don't want to relocate...maybe you will meet someone who will want to relocate to Spain...ya never know....

Travel, definately, and I intend to. Relocate, well a little over a year ago I would have, now I'm not so sure. I won't say I wouldn't though, you never know.

I mean Spain is not that far away .
Crikey in this day and age , with cheap flights and inexpensive accommadation , why wouldn't some1 travel to meet some1 they really ,really liked

you never know, the other fact is this, if you enjoy the time you spend here and the friends you make it is not a waist of time in my mind.

You make a good point. There are some people who will do it but most of us unless there is a good amount of time traveling back and forth to get to know someone might not be as willing to relocate as we think. Let us have our little fantasies though Jan and good luck.

Jan I agree with Shelley and LL. You might actually meet someone that IS willing to relocate. And with the airfare being cheap right now, you never know! Don't give up sister, keep hangin' in there!

however, Jan ,its not like a hundred years ago,
my Grandmother moved to marry my Grandfather and never saw her
own family again. People didn't travel then, there was no money .
She was only about 5 hours away from them ,yet it was considered a long journey .
Nowaday we can go where we please, no?
I mean we can save up and plan our trip ,its not called a Global

I have travelled to Atlanta, Jacksonville, New York City, Vicksburg and San Francisco to have dates with lovely ladies.
