The honesty/truth level is probably the same, it's the opinions which are normally 'held back' come out when pished.
drunk people tell the truth coz there is nothing holding them back....no thoughts of...am i gonna hurt the person by saying this..

I concider my self to be a real man & belive u me i have a lot more respect for a women who tells the truth no matter what even if its not all good news so to all you strait talking wemen out their keep up the good work its a sign of strength & positive that can only make you more atrative & classy...me,, i dont need to be drunk to say it as it is....
