the "union" that need to be busted/restructured and abolished is the union of politicians "Democrats or republican" these names are only facades to confuse the citizen, the corruption has slowly infested the governments with self preservation and greed by these who professed to represent the citizens... it always strikes me odd that when a politician goes to pasture they are given seats/positions with major corporations and congolmerates...

now it has even been multinational corporations that are hiring our politicians who leave office or are voted out

want a job/employment security??? run for a office then the offers will flow like a rain through a gutter downspout

the jobs here are hard to get ive put in applications every where, gamestop in royal oak was hiring. i put in a application i called back like a week or to later they claimed all the positions were filled. then i put in one at barnes and noble books they claimed the same thing. i see the reason why some people are now applying for ssi. so they can have an income to live on, its very frustrating

pctech: I am a 15 year computer technician having a difficult time gaining employment in my field of expertise.
Why is Michigan number one in the country for unemployment?

I've decided I'm not going to let the state of Michigan determine my career. I love being a Machinist and thats what I want to do. If I have to live in Texas to get work as a machinist, then thats what I'll do.

I've been 'in the system' for 6 months now and there is a constant push from the government (michigan works office and the TRA/TAA program) to put everyone in the medical field. Thats great if you WANT to work in the medical field and can't afford school. The Government will pay for your degree.

I started my tooling degree long before my company moved to Brazil and I'm not going to give it up and start over to be a nurse.

It's great that the government is giving out all these opportunities for college. But are they sending people to nursing school who DON'T WANT to be nurses?

whats going to happen 10 years from now, when they have thousands of nurses who hate being nurses???

Answer is quite simple the push to have thousands of nurses is really quite a smart idea on the governments part.

Flood the market with medically trained types.
simply supply and demand economics. just like the education industry So many teachers so few jobs....

I'm thinking that 10 years from now, when we have a bunch of nurses who hate their jobs and take out their frusteration on unsuspecting patients
