I am getting a bit diiscouraged, I don't think its my looks, I am not handsome but I wouldn't call myself ugly either. I will admit I am not good at talking about myself but of course I don't like to be the center of attention. Any advice would help, I am starting to feel like I am going to be alone forever here

you are not doing anything wrong.i,m just a bit selective of the men i date now since the childhood sweetheart that i lived with for five years died of lung cancer he and i had so much in common.we both loved doing genealogy research and walking cemeteries to find our ancestors and do transcriptions.he and i also loved flea markets and thrift stores.i do have a dog which he and i adopted together.if you would like to talk please email me <cjpage1954@gmail.com>i would like it if men don,t smoke or drink.i would like to date and get to know someone,i am not a one night stand i want someone who is for real.i enjoy going to museums and historical societies.i am our family genealogist and do like walking cemeteries to do transcriptions,if a man has qualms about that then it is a deal breaker.i am a very serious family genealogist.i live in springfield,missouri.hope i will hear back from you.

Now don't get discouraged. It takes some time to get known. But be careful there are a lot of scammers out there.

I've been on a few of these sites but men are picky as they want much younger women for the most part. It is amazing. I'm looking for someone around my age but gees you would think there would be more but not so. I don't want smoking and alot of drinking and that deletes alot.
I feel like most of the men are taken and when they become widowed they ask for he moon and the stars, and so I guess I'll be happy with my friends and kids probably forever as can't fullfill these wishes.

When I first started dating a few years ago, I walked up to the river, but didn't throw my line into the water. I expected the fish to jump out of the water and land at my feet - at least that is how good the fishing was according to what I was told. I soon realized that there are hundreds of men who are fishing the same waters trying for the same fish. So, if there is a specific fish you want to catch, you need to be assertive and go for it! Use bait that nobody else is using. Be yourself, be honest, be respectful, always. But highlight some of your unique qualities to make yourself stand out from the rest, and that fish will be interested enough to bite.
