studecar: There must be a God, I met an Angel, and I have absolute proof it happened, I'll not go in to that other than to say she (Angel) saved my life. Who could have known my situation, possibly God , who then,sent the Angel.
What ticks me off are these people who state, "God told me bla bla bla. " An example. Shortly after WWII
ended, a preacher of a small church in our town rigged a loud speaker system on his car . He drove around town telling us God told him ,"The world will end next Saturday , our church will hold meetings every evening so you can be saved".
Came Sunday - we were still here ! Did God lie to him ? Personally, I think the guy was hungry and needed
more "collections".
Later a known TV Preacher said God told him the world would end on such a date, the date passed and everyone (except of course the dead) was still with us ! Who lied?
George W. (Dubyah) Bush stated on his campaign , "God told me to be President". Any proof he or the other 2
above had any. Bush was after the Evangelical votes whose viewpoint was, God told him that ,so I have to vote for him . He did win!
I think religion can be good if it lends to living a good life, but to use it as a crutch for any other purpose is a crime. studecar
