Anyone interested in getting a CS group together from TN and surrounding areas??? (14)
It sounds great; unfortunately it is fours hours away from my (north middle TN). As appealing as it would to meet TN people, it's kind of hard to grab a cup of coffee and get to know someone when there's just enough mileage between them. All your ideas sound great, though.
Unfortunately, Memphis is on the west end of a very long state. I am in the Sparta/Cookeville area in mid TN, but Memphis is a long trip. sorry.
The parthanon would be a better idea i think, as it's roughly a 2 hour drive for anyone in the state and easy to find.
There are lots of resturants around and a few coffee shops, or we could just picnic there, it's beautiful this time of year or in fall (when we don't stand a chance of wilting from the heat).
And i'm not suggesting it just because I live 40 minutes from there and close to 2 hours from Mimphis.
Sounds like a great idea though... lets try to keep this rolling.

I agree that autumn is the time to do it. If I don't have to be at work when it's scheduled, I'd come:D
I am in north alabama but TN would be a good place for a get together.
I, too am in middle TN and my problem is that my transportation is unreliable, just now...
Despite that,I would love to come to a get-together...I do agree that Nashville is an easier location to reach, than Memphis.

It depends where its and how far! im from clarksville tn.
I'm from Maryville and would love to meet CS people from east Tn and surrounding areas. If any one would like to get together for a day, or wk end in the smokies let me know. We can go camping, or cabins, cook out touring pigion forge, and gatlinburg, I'm up for suggestions. If you play instroments we can get a band together for that same week end! Hey, hit me up with your ideas, I've seen where other east Tn folks want to get something planned. Let's talk and plan something its summer time, time for a vacation!!!

Well I'm in the sevierville tn general area, closer to knoxville really. Though I'm always looking for fun new people to hang out with. To bad it's cold out now, I normally love going swimming in the national park. So if anyone has any suggestions let me know (unless this is a dead thread. :p )
