There is no better sleep than the sleep you have after a day of cleaning !!

I must admit I am a bit of a Monica though I do love a good days cleaning.

Oh yeah your a quailified coach arnt ya...yeah we do are warm up's, stretches and then train then warm down and stretches. Im fit as a fiddle but i have tight quad's on my right leg. I had this injury during pre season and i could barely walk. Now its the same injury but i can walk but it stops me from sprinting. Any ideas on how to fix it? I do the usual massage with baby oil and heat packs and have a bath but im worried i could have torn something instaed of it being tight...cause its been tight the last 2 weeks laugh laugh Doing my head in! laugh

sounds close to you having pulled the muscle. Alternate heat and cold and MILD stretching. unfortunately, the simply thing specifically going to heal it is time. i think you might have bruising which means its possible you tore the muscle tissue if you cant sprint. extensive rubbing of the area could actually make the bruising worse. have you discussed this woth your coach? if in a week or so it gets no better or gets worse, i suggest you see a doctor, preferably one in sports medication. if it is more like muscle cramp, u can try this.. take your thumb or if you cant reach get someone else to do it, and apply pressue in the sore area as hard as possible until you cant take anymore. hold it for at least 30 seconds. do it in several areas, several times. make sure you dont rub it, that can bruise the skin tissue. but if it feels more like strained muscle, dont use the pressure. it could damage it more. from my knowledge, thats all i can really say about it bud. thumbs up

Ah fair play man..thanks for that. Well i was ment to say it to my coach tonight but bottled it laugh I was going to ring him 2moro before he picks the squad.

Can just ask you this, if i stayed of it a few days it does go away but the minute i sprint its back. Does that sound like bruising or something torn in you opinion?

ahhhh, that is definately torn tissue mate, if it was bruised and you rested for a few days, you would only feel it again if you got a knock in the same area.. ok there is a very good cream called arincia, if you can get your hands on that it is excellent stuff. but lots of places dont have it. your definately best to stay off it, rest it, do light stretches in your spare time and before stretching put an ice pack on it to loosen the tissue fibres. i honestly think if you keep sprinting on it that you will have the same problem every week. try get arincia, its a great muscle healant
