vinny1967: Where to Mac ?

I think he has been tapped up by Utd and they have agreed certain things and now its a waiting game.

United wouldn't dream of doing such a thing wow laugh

Seriously though, i think we all know that every club talks to a player before they make a bid for him to see what he's like and see if he's interested. I know its against the rules but i seriously doubt there is a club in the world that doesn't do it.

purplesmurf: I hope you're wrong...give me Schneider any day. Utd have agreed a fee with Inter and a 200k a week deal is on the table....

I hope you're right but judging by what Sneijder has said recently and what Inter said today, its looking unlikely. I know the club always says it and although Sneijder says he's happy, Inter reckons it would take big bucks to get him. Depends on how much United want him i spose.

How many times did Utd say Ronaldo wasn't for sale? Lets face it, its all guesswork. I'd be really worried for Utd if we didn't have one of either Modric, Nasri or Schneider....

Anderson couldn't get a game for us but we wheeled him out every year to put Stephanie G in his pocket...YMCA (You're Midtable Challengers Always)

I wouldn't. Scholes didn't play an awful lot last season anyway. I'm not saying we don't need a playmaker/creative midfielder because we do but with young Tom Cleverly coming back from Wigan, i think we'd manage until January if we had to. Having said that, i hope it doesn't come to that.

Nasri is the back up plan...if he says he's not getting Nasri then it'll be Wes or Modric...

Its called homework laugh

I don't see the Sjneider deal going thru but I could be wrong. And Chelsea seem to have done their 'homework' on Modric so the Nasri situation could be interesting.

Ah we'd still win the premiership with Cleverly, Fletcher, Gibson, Carrick and Anderson. But we need the bit of quality for Europe wink

I hope you are. I'll be surprised if Modric doesn't go to Chelsea and if Nasri doesn't go to City but I'm not really bothered as long as Sneijder goes to United.

Manchester United are in talks with Inter Milan over a deal to bring Wesley Sneijder to Old Trafford, according to Goal.com.

The Dutch midfielder has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer following the retirement of Paul Scholes at the end of the season.

And after constantly denying a deal was on the cards, Sneijder now appears to be on his way to the Premier League.

"United have increased their interest over the past 48 hours. The clubs are now in talks, but they will have to agree a fee," a source told Goal.com.

"The next move is down to United. If they satisfy Inter's requests, then Sneijder will be playing for United next season."

"He knows he would have better chances of winning things at Manchester United compared to Inter, especially on the international front," the source added.

"At the moment he does not want to say much as he doesn't want to upset the Inter fans. But if Inter and United reach an agreement, then he would be delighted to join them.

United have also been linked with a move for Luka Modric and Samir Nasri, but with Chelsea and Manchester City leading the race for the duo, Sneijder appears to be last available target.
