Very much so. Also because Family guy is not tied by plot or attempting to be realistic, it will never grow as stale as the simpsons. Keeping the simpsons going for the sake of it is a waste, they need to finish it off with a big finale. The whole world would watch, a bit like Cheers' last episode.
