the only problem with AVG is in order to install it correctly
you have to meet with a user on here whose name starts with a W for a coffee or something stronger
these computers they get more complicated with each day that passes

Hi Tusie, I have been using McAfee Antivirus for years and I have never had any trouble. If you google McAfee best price or cheapest price you will get it for a pittance and when it comes to renewal next year they give you a good deal. It is so easy to install and low maintenance, it just protects your PC and lets you get on with whatever you want to do. thumbs up

PS, looking good in the pic there. innocent

Been using free spyware for years and have had no problem with it. The one I use is called Superantispyware. Also in relation to uninstalling existing security apps you can't do that from you windows icon on desktop. (This only deletes the shortcut to the program and not the program itself). Go to Control Panel, find the programm you want to uninstall and thats it. Good luck because I know these things can be a pain in the butt and very annoying and confusing.teddybear

Here's a little known fact (it was news to me last year anyway) that i'm going to share with the CS community, if your using Windows 7 or 8 (perhaps this works on other versions but def. works on these two) there is already free anti-virus software installed on your laptop, Windows 7 has "Microsoft Security Essentials" and Windows 8 has "Windows Defender" installed, correction, with Win 7, its not installed but can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft website, it works a charm, Win 8 comes with Defender installed but deactivated, all that is required is to search for the programme and turn it on, why pay for something when you can get it for free thumbs up
