Yeah this country has an immature relationship with alcohol and the ones who suffer for it are the young and impressionable.

perhaps they should ban alcohol altogether or go a step further and ban rivers so people cant jump into themireland

As harsh as it may seem but theres only one idiot in this scenario and he's in a coffin now! frustrated confused I was at the very spot he drowned last Monday the place is f&*kin lethal with the flood waters out, why anyone in there right mind (even if he had drink!!!) would climb into it is beyond me! mumbling

I knew a lad when I was in college who downed half a litre of vodka for a dare..he just passed out in the chair a few mins later and we checked he had a pulse to see if he was alive every half hour or so..he was passed out in that chair 2 full days..mad times

Once upon a time, before the internet, you would do drinking games with your mates, and it would be one-upmanship just against your mates, to impress your mates, now it is one-upmanship against the rest of the internet, and to impress the internet community, each stun has to be bigger, bolder and more daring....and unfortunately in this instance...deadlier.

I feel sorry for the family, but drinking till you are so drunk you don't know where you are or what you are doing is nothing new to the Irish, if anything, it seems to considered a right of passage in this country.
