facetowardsfront: Ooooh, you'd have to ask one of the Feminists to define that for you. It's like most of their terms it means whatever they want it to mean. Don't you just hate Feminism sometimes?

About_Blank: T.it seems as if the only decent politicos are the sinn fein bunch, they at least seem to talk some sense and for the most part interview well and answer questions that are put to them,.

Blank don't be fooled with the Quislings double speak. The are bigger cnuts than you think. There isn't a socialist bone between them. When you put a direct question to an member of the Quislings they never answer the answer the question..

I think you're both right. SF are in a nice position where they can champion all the popular stuff but didn't this bunch of crooks do the same thing a few years ago? Enda Kenny said it would be 'immoral' to have a property tax. Gilmor said they would not give a 'penny' to the bondholders. Then they went and did just that.

It's not the parties, it's the system. 'Electing' any bunch gives authority and implied consent for them to make whatever laws they choose, or rather whatever laws their bosses in the European Commission choose. The donkey is dead, don't pet it, shoot it.

I concour, but what can we as a people do to change things midd term(ish), I would carry a banner on lenster house if i thought for one moment it would change anything, and as you rightly pointed out on my thread earlier, the 'universal health care' mandate is but another stick to beat us with....As a brit who loves his adopted country, i ask, where is the spirit of 1916, where is the fight in the irish people, or is that now relegated to the ranks of an 'also ran'.....

Our conformity is our biggest strength, it means we will get out of our present difficulty.

The men of 1916 did nothing but destroy, as most fanatics do everywhere. We are not Greece and lucky for us that we aren't.

I wish i had your belief Snowy, but theres a big difference between kneeling down and bending over...our 'conformity' bay be the very thing that tears us asunder, our 'leaders' for want of a better word 'never' step up with the 'awful truth', choosing to bury bad news when ever they can or mumble mealey mouthed platitudes about how 'good' the irish people have been in steadfastly sticking to 'the plan'....Dont get me wrong, british politicos are not much better, but there is a bigger pot to draw from for fiscal recussitation, and for all their faults, the brits dont mind asking the big questions and holding their 'shiesters' to account....we, it appears mumble our discontent and continue to be ridden like sea-side donkeys....
