Once all of the above is in order, ahem, I would like my 2nd date to be a nice dinner with wine, followed by a few drinks in a bar where you can sit down, and music is not so loud as to nake it difficult to chat.

lol Major Tom will stay in his compound

looks like a meal is the way to go,was hoping to do summit that wouldn't be as formal, where you could feel more at ease, then again the drink should relax things

You could pick an informal type of restaurant.

I love tapas bars. Great choices, you get to share, and you can discuss the food too.

We might need to go back and see what my 'first date' offering was....if that was as you say 'survived', id say we would almost be married by now...

As for do's and dont's.....

do keep a spare loaf of bread in the freezer...
dont iron your underpants while your still wearing them...

oh CS rules state you must put out on the 3rd date or is it after the 3rd date, best be safe and put out on 3rd thumbs up

Second date therefore is your last chance to make her start to think she wants sleep with you or there won't be a 3rd date. So you need to look good, smell good and charm the pants of her (not literally, thats the 3rd date). No pressure so thumbs up

While I love eating out, it can be a bit formal and boring for a date....on a first date, a 2 hour meal would be a nightmare for me....no escape until after the coffee course!

A second date could be anything really......something you both enjoy? A walk and picnic?, a night at the dogs?, go karting?, a gig or sport event? something like that maybe?

Normally first dates for me would be short ones, coffee or lunch or a quiet drink somewhere but then it does depends on how well you know each other beforehand. If you sent each a lot of messages and spoken at length on the phone then you probably have a pretty good idea of what each other are like. Usually second would be the big date, dinner, drinks, music, dancing.

Having said all that sometimes the best dates are the ones that are a little bit untraditional. Like go-cart racing, or a trip to IKEA (I know how strange that sounds but you can go round IKEA and have such a laugh role -playing in each different area, it allows you both to imagine what it would be like living together). Clay pigeon shooting is another good one as well.
