Sometimes I delete my profile because I think that meeting someone is pointless on a dating website, then maybe a week or 2 later I decide to give it another go....nothing malicious about that....

I hide my profile when I am dating someone, I like to give the relationship a chance to work. Don't think that can happen if I'm here chatting to half the world.jmo

Some people hide their profiles when they log off, why is anyones guess. Some say it is to stop them receiving to much mail.
