Some lads I know in Waterford used to feed the seagulls those steradent, fizzy up, type tablets. The seagulls gulp them down, and apparently it is amusing to watch their reaction. laugh

Aww that's cruel! that could poison them! I'm sure it looked funny alright but...

So will the seagulls in Dublin be sent to their rooms (nests) to think about their behaviour and not come out till they are sorry? lol

They even had their title stripped off them (not real seagulls, just vermin). A bird's gotta eat! We're upsetting their environment!

Scary for small kids though.

Make them sit on the bold step. laugh

I think seagulls are a fantastic amenity. Just set up a feeding table in the back garden, and they devour all household food waste that isn't suitable for composting of course.thumbs up

The Dublin seagulls like it here too when they come down here in summer, the dubs and the pubs. And chasing till the sun comes up they looking for a place to lie their head or a comfy bed but I give em crumbs down on the quay.beer

lol, pouting seagull on bold step, wings folded.

The sound of the seagull reminds me of summer and boats and sunshine.

Isn't there a myth or saying that when seagulls come inland it means a storm is coming?

The crows will do that anyway for you and bully the small birds out of the way.

I have a feeding table for the crows, and a smaller crow proof one for the small birds.

My neighbour, an obsessive car polisher, hates birds with a vengeance, but that is not why I like feeding and attracting the birds, honest. laugh

When he's not looking, toss a load of small bird seed across onto his roof. Won't be long until there's flocks of Starlings doing the rounds everyday like clockwork.
