Hi.
Hobbies,
wood work , designing making and sewing garb = clothes look up Renaissance The SCA. im an Archer as well for our group though i have all the gear from my father , photography, land scapes buildings and of our groups im a member of ,
i am a member of 4 Brass Bands as a side drummer , Two in Tasmania and two here and yes i do a lot of pratics im learning some 100 peaces and for a concert we will have later on plus a detail on the 14 th this month about 12 peace,s in the morning about 2 to 3 hours with breaks in between at Oamaru just south of us,
I don,t have to work or look after our kids as they are grown up with their own ,11 grand kids ,
Music is inportaint to me and something you can learn you have a teaching school over your way that is very good the OAIM, and covers most instrimeants im a member on the online teaching / learning
Did own 5 horse.s years ago and yes that was neat ,all our family rode them ,
Looking after your own kids is hobby enough ,

So go go swimming and scuba dive a little then you go home and give cooking lessons while you are meditating while doing naked yoga and someone paints/sketches you?

I know DirkDangerous: So just wondering what everyone's 'thing' for filling in their spare time is. (Apart from posting here that is!) I have a fairly busy life with working nearly full time and bringing up a gang of kids near single-handedly (have an au pair helping out at the mo but shes gone at end of the month then its back to just me) and Ive noticed that since my ex left Ive lost touch with most of my friends and dropped any hobbies I ever had due to lack of time. Which is annoying me lately as I feel like I have nothing in my life that is just for me. Would like to pick up a new hobby or interest but dont really know what would suit! All I do at the moment is watch movies and read books, and then hang out with the kids and stuff......its not helping me meet people either. I joined this thing a few months back to try that but honestly I dont even have the time for this either ( I do browse it every so often but never feel I have much to add to the conversations going on - I'm amazed how you all keep the banter going so regularly!!) So Im just wondering, out of curiousity, what kind of stuff people do? Im not mad into sports to be honest, not the competitive type, though I do like hill walking and orienteering and all that. Well, I used to years ago! Dont know how youd get into something like that now....
Probably wont help me much but might get some inspiration from you guys, you never know! Ta!

They're good hobbies bran! One to keep you fit, one to keep your mind occupied and one to keep your hands busy!
