Personally I'd say it hasn't changed (Rock) much since the blues. You can play most (if not all rock) using a simple I, IV, V .. with one or two pentatonic scale's starting on the 5th position on a guitar neck....

It dosnt matter I might get recycled in the next life but maybe not my soul might be complete as it is now,

When you think about it - its just way we are as humans. Take general sport for instance, its about competition/winning/being better. If we didnt have sport, maybe we would be at each others throats?
I dont think there is any learning in us - we are just a species that occupies planet Earth(just like many others). The same thought processes runs through man, as it does anything else that is living. And that is to multiply, find the best mate etc.
Obviously over time we have had those that try to suppress our natural desires(marriage, rules etc). But the fact still remains - man will try to attract the female & the female will be attracted to the male that she thinks will be stronger and give the best children.
Wars etc? they will never be eliminated, its just not in our make up unfortunately.
