I bought a HTC one M8 a couple of weeks ago on Vodafone.
It is by far the best phone I have had
I upgraded from an iPhone 5, prior to that had an iPhone 4 and prior to that had whatever the highest spec phone was then...
If u want a good phone, which will last a few years go with the HTC or Samsung S5

deffo going to try get an unlocked one tho so I can change around providers whenever the mood takes me!:)

sony xperia I have had this phone for a while well worth a look...does what it says on the tin...
Very smart looking Sony Smart phone going for about €70 in carphone warehouse. If you are not a big tecky its a good intro into a smart phone.....
MADDOG69: I have a Nokia Lumia 630 as me main phone. Can't complain. It's only got one camera looking outwards on the back, so if you're into taking dirty #selfies of yourself, it's difficult. other than that it's a nice phone. And I like it. The 625 is a bit better, IIRC it has 2 cameras..
Too big. You can easily play ping pong with that.
