....no not of famous people, but of car insurance.

I am undertaking my annual quest for the best car insurance quote, and was wondering what was the worst quote you ever got, mine was 1500 yoyos on a car I bought for 2000 yoyos.

I had no previous convictions and a full license for years, but because I had been abroad for many years, I was considered a first time driver, my previous driving experience on the continent and the UK counted for nothing.

I also think it is because people don't shop around enough, I am often amazed at how people stick to the same old same old, when you can get the same thing cheaper else where, especially when it comes to car insurance, yeah it is a pain filling in the forms online, but it isn't like the old days where you had to spend hours, even days, on the phone to them just to get a quote.

Worst this year so far...505.00 for third party fire and theft, best 317.00 for fully comp. Now that is some difference!!!!

There is no loyalty on either side.

Here is the quote run down so far, I will leave out the insurance companies names to spare their embarrassment.

Had to ring one of them as they wouldn't give me an online quote, wish i hadn't bothered. crying

505.00, 486.00, 409.00, 375.51, 352.14, 344.00 - All for 3rd Party fire and theft. thumbs down

316.20 for Fully comp. thumbs up

I suppose it also depends on the vehicle type, age and no claim discount, but amazing differences or what??????

As far as I remember the clutch on Caddy's wear out kind of fast, some thing to do with the design of them, so you could be stuck staring at the stars for a while if you are not careful. grin
