I cannot watch a full 90 minutes of soccer, just too damn boring a game, compared to GAA or rugger. I watch soccer highlights, as they show the minute or two of interesting stuff, and cut out all the play acting and rolling around the ground pretending to be hurt stuff.

I think it is the fact that soccer gets a worldwide audience
And we want the euros and world cup. To play against world
Class players & teams.
Hurling and gaelic is only really played here.
