annaroach: I was reading in a newspaper today about the guy on a dating site that , conned a woman out of E 15, 000, ,, when a man said to me,,"any good news in that paper" i explained to him about the guy on the dating site etc .,his reply was, " How come when a man treats a woman well , that she is nasty to him, and a man that treats a woman badly, gets treated better so i want to put that question to you all here,, How Come?
God men who say that statement get on my bloody nerves Anna, men who treat women well do not all get treated badly, perhaps their perception of things are skewed, maybe what they see as treating somebody well was not how she seen it, I tend to find the large majority of people are not nasty to those who treat them well.
No relationship is one sided, there are two in it. Not saying no one male to female or female to male or same gender relationships do not involve one person treating another poorly but for the most part its not the case, I have faith in human nature.
And another thing I hate men or woman who generalise the whole gender due to their experience.

Oh for the record I would have challenged him on this, wonder what reaction you would get, certainly give you an insight into him if you did

It was a fleeting thing and there wasn't time to chat on the subject.
I knew from the way he said it, that it was from a personal experience, and he was having his little moan, in such cases people do tend to generalise, which is wrong.
