I suggest you read the woman's profile and say what you like about it in your first mail, and ask her if she would be interested in having a chat to see how things go.
If you can think of something witty to say, then that's a bonus.
I wouldn't worry about the looks, big strong man like you should have no problem with the women.
My advice is change the blurb on your profile...I know its just a joke but when you have anything along the lines of "she just has to be female ]" or something non specific like that it comes across,,. imho.. as that you'll almost take anyone,.. and women want to feel special.......

Hi Bignoel, in my experience not a lot of older women go for younger men though that's just my experience. But some do so don't give up.
Would not take it personally, remember online is not like real life, photo's don't represent the whole persons attractiveness, personality etc is so important and that sometimes does not come across on here.
Good luck with the women, and may I ask for curiosity as the more mature lady, what interests you in women older than yourself? and what age do you go for?
