Dear Jehovah, could you please aid and inspire Australia, to put a certain former colonial power out of the World cup this evening.

Thanks

Do I get a very slight hint of bias against the English there Stan?laugh

Who is an Englishman these days anyway?

Is it?(said in appropriate accents)
"Goodness gracious me, I am an Englishman" or
"I am an Englishman, from Jamaica man" or
a South African batsman in their cricket team
laugh
And they had the nerve to mention the grandparents rule that allowed some footballers to play for the Irish soccer team.

Australia to shade it! Scotland v SA should be well worth a look alsoireland

stanley8m: Ireland looked very flat yesterday, as if they haven't really turned up for the WC yet. Really need to up the game for France next week, or we will be facing the All Blacks in the next round.

Don't see France or NZ quaking in their boots at the prospect of facing Ireland after our last few performances.

True.

We'd get hammered by a good team if we played that way against them.

True molly, I hope it is a case that Ireland are focussing mentally on the bigger games ahead. But I have an awful niggling feeling that it might have something to do with the world cup being our first major championship in years, without a certain genius in the number 13 jersey. ireland

Isn't it at all possible that Ireland didn't preform as well as they can simply because they knew over 80mins they'd beat Italy.. And it doesn't matter if Ireland gets hammered by France or not. Ireland is through to the QF. I hope then don't pick up any serious injuries.

Now would you rather have a depleted team like Wales going through or fully fit Irish team...And in the last encounter the All Blacks beat ireland by 2pts......
