That is a bit previous , you might say!

But Christmas is at the end of Dec, and already people are saying Happy Christmas.

This happened to me as i was in a lift with a woman just an hour ago.

Aren't we rushing too quickly into the next event, hence time is flying by so quickly.

Why not just take one day at a time and enjoy/ savour every min of it.

Just sayin!!

and very well said at that. im afraid all these events have become marketing scams at this stage and are becoming more and more removed from their origins and meaning. truly disgusting behavior really

I concur, all very commercial now, no magic, or surprise, that's my opinion anyway
this is also contributed to the fact that children have far too much

I did feel the real magic of Christmas, as a child and have great momories.

i have some fantastic memories myself of these events growing up but im sick of the commercialism that these events now bring. so many families will accumulated incredible amounts of debt after the fact. this is madness. seen a mate last night for the first time in a couple of weeks. hes stressed out of his head working hard to save money for christmas. has 4 kids. marketing and advertisement companies have a lot to answer for here

Yes the stress and pressure people are under takes the good out of it, some people borrow money and have the problem of paying it back ,long after the event. i also think that there are a lot of sad children at Christmas
Because they don't get from Santa ,what it is they wanted, and a friend down the road would have

I still think there is a little bit of magic about Christmas.

People are in better mood, and greet each other on the streets, give more to charity, and smile more at Christmas time.

Fraya: This doing better than the Jones's with the high voltage statements is a sight to be seen right enough. I was asked last year "where is your tree"? I said, "It's in the woods. Go see, it's lovely"

Good answer!laugh

I go for under kill rather than overkill .

The new mad pup would have it knocked over or eaten anyway this year, so I now have an excusegrin

Way to go pup!

I love christmas. I really look forwad to seeing those I have not seen for a year or more, the time off work, the celebratory atmosphere, the sudden giving nature of people and of course, the parties applause

I'd post a pic, if this tablet allowed me, but it doesn't uh oh

So now I have one short round dog and one lanky skinny dog!

Do they get on? Most importantly, do they get on with the significant other? Laika, I love her personality and I've never met her laugh

Hmm. .well, Coca was rescued from a puppy farm having being used to breed, and then dumped. So she doesn't fancy other dogs at all.
She tolerated Laika (barely ).
Lake loves Coca, and does follow her everywhere, but her love was isn't reciprocated.

They both love humans (Laika, once she gets to know them), so all good on that front.

Hopefully.

Rescues can come with their own problems. But they are so forgiving and willing to trust again.
It is beautiful to see them slowly blossom into the dogs they always should have been.
