Treetopwanderer: Communism is a ponzi scheme the same way representative democracy is. All wealth moving from the wide bottom to the thin top.

Direct democracy would enable us to decide whether we should militarise our police against us, whether we should invade other countries, whether we should create money out of thin air, making the masses forever poorer.

We could actually decide how much richer the richest can be relative to the poorest.
We could decide whether we should start using only renewable energy.
We could decide whether or not our water should be poisoned at source.
We could decide whether cannabis, the best medicine on the planet, should be grown to cure cancer and almost every other disease out there.
We could decide whether our children should be taught the real history of our species, taught critical thinking rather than "patriotism" and towing the line.

We live in an era when all the knowledge we need is at our fingertips, yet we're poisoning ourselves and our planet, handing our children crushing debts, murdering millions to line the pockets of a few.

I must disagree with you. I think that we have the capacity to manage ourselves with common sense and fairness, and I think we should do it as quickly as is humanly possible, for Einstein was right in stating "I know not with which weapons World War Three will be fought, but I know that World War Four will be fought with sticks and stones"

Socrates was executed for corrupting the young with "radical ideas" under the system you speak of. So I suppose that was the right thing to do....

whether our children should be taught the real history of our species,
I hope not the ufo one or creationism .

Good point.
I did, however, say "real" :-)

I'm talking about evolution, fractional reserve banking, the religion business, why wars happen and how they're started, the propaganda machine, etc

Just a question on a point you made.

Where is the evidence ,that 1. cannabis is the greatest medicine on the planet

2. That it is a cure for cancer and most diseases in the world ?

There is a lot of research gone into cannabis oil as a potential cure for many illnesses.

Unfortunately, it is not in big pharmas interest to have an easily grown plant, which would be available practically free, seen to be so beneficial, so it is still being stigmatised.

I have heard a lot about it, but is there any evidence,,
proof of its benefits, anyone here that can speak from experience of it.

Yes I did,
That does not change the fact you have sent me a link blatantly advertising
a company I don't like.

Furthermore this is the second post in which you have taken a tone of condescension with me, now do you actually think that is making me look stupid, or now that I have highlighted the fact does it make you look manipulative dunno

No need for snobbishness..
