I was down at my Mum's house last weekend and my brother from Cork was there with his family....his children are a lot younger than mine......anyway....my sister-in-law told me about the Religious Education book that their youngest child, who is 7, was being taught in the Catholic School just outside Cork City...the same one I'm sure that is being taught all over the country.....She opened up her laptop to show me what she was referring to.....I was totally shocked....I could not believe that, in Ireland today, after all the awful things that have come to light in recent year's....it was unbelievable!.... On their religion book is a caption of a young girl ( albeit only in a drawing) with her face captioned in total fear.....sitting on her bed without any of the attributes of a fully grown woman.....a large caption of the 'Angel Gabriel' standing at the end of her bed....the heading on the lesson says 'SAY YES'...There is then a Maze that the children have to fill in where Gabriel has to find Mary who then says 'YES'...Does anybody think this is right teaching in Irish Catholic Schools when all parents in this day and age are consistently warning their children to never listen to strangers????... and here we have a caption of a young girl in what she assumes to be the safety of her bedroom being told it is ok to say yes to a stranger in her room??... I could not believe my eyes.....just wondering if anybody else has heard abou this?....

Sure it's probably not as good as 50 shades then I take it?

laugh

Honestly... it takes a bit of imagination, from oneself to imagine something twisted in a drawing like as you described.

I think you're putting your own distorted views onto something innocent.

Nothing innocent about the Catholic church Eveny. Most people are on the run from it or are 'Recovering Catholics'. I could tell you some stories about them but sure couldn't we all.

OgGoDeo: ....well....hopefully you might understand what I was talking about.....there is no way this day and age that children in high infants should be shown a caption of a frightened looking young girl sitting up in her bed with a man calling himself 'Gabriel' standing at the foot of her bed telling her 'not to be afraid... I won't harm you....I'm just here to make you the mother of the son of God'.....

I understand but there's much more to worry
About with the confusion they're causing to kids
With their mind conditioning

Pantos are a great example aswell

Why doesn't that suprise me.... Seems that's the wishes
Of an awful lot of people these days wishing everything
Was gay, you and the other blind fool here really can't see
What's happening because you've been so dumbed down

The sum total of your response shows that

By the way if you read my previous threads dummy
You'll have read that I've no problem if I had a gay
Child, what I would have a problem with is that
Child leading a sordid life and promoting an
Abnormality as if is something normal waving a
Stupid rainbow flag around our sacred o Connell
