Now is the chance for a United Ireland supported by all the European Country's in Europe financially and otherwise.

The majority of people in the North of Ireland voted to stay in Europe, now is the best chance ever in Irelands history to unite.

It was a vote by Great Britain to leave, there are no other votes that count

I read that about Scotland but EU told them they can´t just leave UK and join EU so easily as Sturgeon thinks, and they only had a referendum a couple of years ago and voted to stay in UK. Why can´t all these tossers accept the results of the vote?

Don't know who you mean while referring to Tossers,i'm just expressing my view that Ireland now has the chance to be free and independent from the not so Great Britain.

I have no problem with anyone leaving Europe,Good bye to all who wish that, the people in Northern Ireland and Scotland didn't vote to leave the European Community,The English did goodbye and Good luck to them.

They can but they're not going to. There is no groundswell for change in the north and any vote to join with us would be heavily defeated.

They never really had a veto in the first place, or at least not one they would have used. If the north had wanted to join with us then the British wouldn't have stood in their way, it's been like that for decades.

Great Britian had a veto before the Good Friday Agreement, whether the Irish North/South wanted a United or not Snowy, there has been a ground swell this last week since Great Britain decided to leave the European Community .

The choice now for Northerners is do you want to be in a United Ireland and European or do you want to remain in Great Britain.

Of course it won't be just Northerners who decide on a United Ireland, people in the Republic also have to agree on this and want this, some don't as i am well aware of.

You're dreaming. The people of the north don't want to join with us they want to stay in the UK. By all means have a referendum but there's only going to be one outcome.

The IRA's terror put off the possibility of a united Ireland for generations, such is the bitterness it caused.

I'd like to see a UI but it won't happen because A) the Prods would never agree to it and anyway we don't need the hassle of having to deal with their tantrums and B) we couldn't afford to pay for the place.

It already costs the Brits 11 billion a year even as part of the EU, it'll be a lot more now.

While I'd love to finally see a united Ireland, under present circumstances, if Northern Ireland are willing to join, could both peoples actually live together in peace, both making compromises over what has divided you both for so long, especially with religion?? If both can be accommodating, then a mutual declaration of Independence could be made and apply to join the EU as a united, sovereign new nation. No reasons for the EU or even the UN to turn you down..but, what if England objects...what then?? I would trust them to object just out of spite... Hoping that both peoples can work out a good mutually beneficent deal, Bon Chance und Good Luck!laugh wine
