Good thing though is that it allows to see who is a scammer, quite fast? Can just wave bye to anyone asking such stuff, and focus on those who don't
Must say though I got no idea about any of those 'apps' or what not. Don't even use Skype, but then again, I am not into dating, so no clue what the methods of the scene are

I believe kik is just another form of chat/messenger with the key difference being you do not have to share your phone number.
There are two ways of looking at it, why do they want to withhold their number, is it for negative reasons or are they being cautious.
I find a lot of men want to exchange numbers really quickly to chat, as they say it is easier by phone. I'm not so quick to exchange numbers.
I guess its a personal choice.
They usually loss interest pretty quickly then
I guess I still prefer the old coffee thing first.
