Well Jimbhoy and myself have one going since Oct. 2006.....so it works for some and then it mightnt for others.....

Hi Yes.......... I met my fella here on cs in 2006 ..we have both crossed the Atlantic many times since then as he live in USA...So he told me he has fallen in love with Ireland..and moi..lol
So in October he wiil be coming to Ireland .. and this time ..we are getting married.:heartwings.
I personally think if peeps are open and honest with each other it can work...thats my 2c worth.

Best of luck with your relationship. They are very difficult. I was in one with a number of years ago. Even lived with her. As a result I would never do it again with someone from outside Ireland. It does work for some people though.

Sometimes you meet the most wonderful people and then you find out they live far away. Yes, they are very hard work but after a certain amouont of time, you have to ask yourself is it worth it?
If the answer is yes then i think you have take steps to make it less long distance as i think long distance is very frustrating and lonely. If the answer is no then its best to just cut your losses and walk away....JMO
