Yeah, strange things and strange people 
Well I am sure the whole world knows what the weather has been like in Queensland the past week or so.
Incredible scenes of floods, inland tsunamis(?), 75% of Qld has been declared a disaster zone. I live about 70 kms (50 miles) south of Brisbane which suffered badly, by some stroke of luck this awful catastrophe missed us here on the Gold Coast and went inland.
Brisbane had an unbelievable weekend when thousands of people turned up as volunteers to help clean up houses, anybody's house, anybody that needed help. Amazing.
Last few days been hot, 27C, was on the beach this arvo after work - but thunderstorms and over the top temps forecast next few days. 30+C.
The worlds weather has gone crazy. Stay safe wherever you are.

Yeah...it's been on our news a lot in the UK....absolutely dreadful!! It was so nice to see everyone helping everyone else though!!

Wow! I can see my lawn again today!! Amazing!! You begin to forget what greenery looks like! 
There is a peculiar looking mound of ice in the middle of the garden though, which looks a bit strange now that most the snow/ice has gone. It's where I was tipping the frozen bird's water every day (the big slap of ice from their water tray). Wonder how long that will take to melt away!

Heavy rain overnight and currently tippling down. Very dark and gloomy (and cold!)
Wet....very wet.....it's still raining. I am currently building an "Ark" in my garage...
8 Celsius/46 F here in Alberta. Some areas got snow last night.
