JMO, but I do feel that most times it is appropriate to acknowledge and respond in one's own words, that they have received a message from someone. For the few extra moments it may take, I think it is worth it to show common courtesy and politeness. However, if individuals are continuing to contact and obviously not reading or understanding your profile = not response, not nice, just block

hey eyes??? it's EVIDENT that you aren't just a pretty face!
Of course in this pablum filled uniformed world we have made for ourselves we can further diregard any notion of feelings, compassion or old fashion integrity and honour
Just press C for the old "It isn't you it is me" response followed by the generic #3 "I know you will find someone who will love you for you" drivel.
Then we can mindlessly believe we have met our obligation, only to do it again and again until one fatefull day, perhaps when a new day dawns and the realization finally hits home that it really was about you and never them.
